Learn how it can improve your business processes
When using photos for business purposes, such as insurance claims, loan underwriting or safety inspections, it is always important to know whether a photo is real or whether it has been altered or tampered. Attestiv uses AI to detect photo anomalies and fraud by scanning for evidence across a variety of attributes including an image’s metadata, provenance (origin), if it is a photo of photo or a screen, integrity, quality (low lighting or blur), and a whether it has been used elsewhere on the internet.
Once our process is complete, each image receives an easy to understand tamper score.
The Scoring System
Every image that goes through our system is given a single score ranging between one to 100. Images scoring lower on the spectrum are considered to be trustworthy and need no human intervention. Images on the higher end of the spectrum (50 and above) deserve a second look or might require a request for a new image submission.
Analysis by group of images
In certain business cases, like insurance claims, multiple images are submitted by a customer or third-party to help provide evidence for a situation. We call these groupings “Records”. While each image still receives an individual tamperscore, the record itself also receives a score. This is beneficial because we take the individual scores PLUS we compare the image’s metadata against each other to ensure that the images were taken at the same time and location to add an extra layer of protection for businesses.Reporting and Alerts
A summary report, providing details on items requiring attention and further inspection, facilitates employee decision-making and enables automated validation. These reports can be emailed or alerts can be sent as required.
As an Attestiv customer, the online dashboard also provides details in real-time. See the dashboard in action >
