Introducing Attestiv’s Free Tier for Journalists and Media: Defend Truth with Deepfake Detection

In today’s digital news cycle, misinformation travels faster than truth. And increasingly, that misinformation comes in the form of AI-generated images, forged documents, and deepfake videos that are indistinguishable from reality—until it’s too late.

At Attestiv, we believe that truth shouldn’t be left to chance. That’s why we’re excited to announce a free starter tier for media, tailored specifically for journalists, fact-checkers, and media professionals.

What’s Included in the Free Starter Tier for Media?

Attestiv’s media integrity toolkit offers allocations across our forensic detection engine that include:

  • Photo Analysis – Detect altered or AI-generated images, compositing, and screen captures

  • Video Verification – Analyze for deepfakes, playback attacks, or suspicious audio-visual inconsistencies
  • Document Authentication – Validate the integrity of PDFs and image-based documents, spot forgery patterns

Accessible through a web browser-based interface, this tier gives reporters and editors a no-cost way to verify media before publication.

Why Now? Because Misinformation Is Getting Smarter

Just in the past several weeks,  Attestiv users in the media helped debunk several fakes making the rounds, including:

In all cases, fake, photos, videos or documents were used to drive online narratives—only uncovered with forensic analysis of format inconsistencies, metadata anomalies, and signs of tampering.

These are just a few of many real-world examples that prove:
Validating content is no longer optional—it’s essential.

Why Journalists and Media Trust Attestiv

Whether you’re working on an urgent story, running fact-checks, or verifying a tip, Attestiv gives you the confidence to say: “This is real. We checked.”
